Took 2 of my sons out for our final boat outing of the season on the Raisin River, as my boat is going into winter storage in the next couple days. All spots in the area were out of worms, luckily we found a live one on the boat that caught us a bunch of perch and sunfish. Needless to say, my 2 year old son was thrilled.
My 7 year old son was catching some lethargic dragon flies on the boat, I showed him how to hook one. First cast landed him a largemouth bass. I love when these sort of things happen, it makes the kids really proud of their involvement / achievement. I managed another bass on a small spinner, looks like the largemouth bass season is finally coming to an end.
