Took my youngest son for some sunfish action in the Soulanges Canal for a couple hours. The action was non stop as expected, we could see schools of them attacking the worms on every cast, as the water very clear. Basically every cast landed a fish. Needles to say my son was thrilled. We let some of the local small children passing on the bike trail by catch some too, they went after their mom to pick up some rods for them too.
Saw schools of carp around, they didn't hit my corn, bread or fries. Seems like they are extremely finicky in the ultra clear water, they were also a bit smaller than the ones I normally see in the St Lawrence river, biggest one was maybe 10 lbs.
